Here’s our latest 60 second General Election update with the exit poll predicting some interesting outcomes.
In Nottinghamshire, it is expected that the Conservatives could gain Bassetlaw, Ashfield and hold the Labour target-seat of Rushcliffe among others in the county.
However, Labour may not be forced out of their strongholds of Nottingham North, East and South, with the exit poll predicting a hold.
Similarly, the Conservatives are expected to hold Mansfield, Sherwood, Newark and Broxtowe, but Gedling is too close to call.
Nationally, Liberal Democrat leader Jo Swinson’s seat of East Dunbartonshire is believed to be in danger whilst Nigel Farage, whose Brexit party isn’t expected to win a seat, claimed he spoilt his ballot paper.
